What you wear can influence how you move through the day. If you’re wearing something that makes you feel confident, those around you will pick up on that. During summer, most are always thinking of what they are going to wear to be “on brand” with fashion trends.

Stitch Lab, a marketplace that features sustainable Latin American fashion, is hosting its summer pop-up at Aventura Mall. From July 12 to July 14, the pop-up with be featuring 0ver 30 fashion brands. The featured brands range from Mexico to Argentina, and everywhere in between.

Below, six brands tell Latinidad Collective what they see talking the mainstage this summer.

Victoria Leon 

Swimsuit designer, Victoria Leon, tells Latinidad Collective that she believes people will be embracing “bold” and “sustianable” options like her brand Victoria Leon.

“The summer 2024 season within the swim categories will all be about embracing bold individuality and sustainable choices in my opinion,” she begins.

Leon continues, “Vibrant mix of retro-inspired designs with high-waisted bottoms and vintage prints combining them with modern touches of cut-out details and asymmetrical shapes.”

“I believe that the swimwear styles will be made in sustainable fabrics, such as recycled nylon or recycled PET fabrics, which underscores a growing commitment to eco-friendly fashion, such as the one my brand Victoria Leon forms part of,” she concludes.

Rocky By Regino 

Additionally, Regina de la Garza, the creative power behind Rocky By Regino, says this summer will be filled with lots of charms.

“For Rocky By Regino, charms is the new cool item of the season. The Funky Charms trend is back and we didn’t want to stay behind,” De la Garza asserts.

She continues, “We’re giving our customers the opportunity to give a personal touch to their pieces to make them unique by adding color, humor, and tropical vibes to their bags.”

“Also, with a little bit of imagination and style, these charms can be worn everywhere, as a belt, a key ring, a necklace or an embellishment on a blazer,” the designer adds.

Paralia

Paralia is a brand that’s made by women for women with the goal of creating beachwear that’s cool and comfortable.

The brand tells Latinidad Collective, “This summer, Paralia has enthusiastically embraced asymmetrical trends. From tops with unique cuts to flowing dresses that play with varying lengths, our collection celebrates the beauty of asymmetry.

“Each piece is designed to enhance the silhouette and offer a cutting-edge style that captures the dynamic and modern essence of seaside living,” they conclude.

Filipa 

Filipa was founded by three sisters from Cali, Colombia, who have a passion for craftsmanship and handmade products.

They told the publication, “This season’s most coveted shoe trend: the mesh ballet flat, a shoe that so perfectly marries comfort with style.”

Pequeñas Indulgencias

Pequeñas Indulgencias has basically set out to create intentional fashion “with integrity and love.” Markedly, the Colombian brand wants to “produce fashion slowly and consciously” and are “committed to a better world.”

They shareed, “The new Tukano Spring Summer 2024 collection is a vibrant celebration of nature, inspired by the lush flora and fascinating fauna of the rainforest that is trending this summer.”

“With the majestic toucan taking center stage, each piece in the collection captures the colorful and dynamic essence of the jungle environment. Floral prints in vivid hues are combined with intricate details that reflect the biodiversity and beauty of the rainforest,” they continued.

“This collection not only offers a dazzling aesthetic, but also invites wearers to connect with nature and bring a touch of exotic adventure into their everyday lives,” the brand concludes.

Kawit

Ecuadorian brand Kawit creates designs that are focused on timeless simplicity. As a result, they use materials like linen, cotton, and polyester.

The brand shares, “Kawit introduces tropical prints inspired by social media trends, featuring elements of Ecuadorian culture such as landscapes, animals, and flowers.”

“The vibrant colors and lightweight, comfortable designs are perfect for showcasing the festive spirit of Latin American culture,” they added.
