Jharrel Jerome Reminds Everyone of His Greatness and Grit As Anthony Robles in ‘Unstoppable’

There’s no denying the powerhouse performances Dominican-American actor Jharrel Jerome can produce. His latest project, alongside Jennifer Lopez, Unstoppable sees the actor take on the story of wrestler Anthony Robles.

The film, which is out for limited release on December 6, follows the inspiring story of Robles who defied all odds and became the 2011 NCAA individual wrestling national championship for his weight class despite being born with only one leg.

“Unstoppable” spotlights both Jerome and Robles’ greatness, resilience, and grit

After solidifying his capacity for bringing fuego to the screen in When They See Us, Jerome adds another notch to his belt with this new film. The actor trained and worked closely with Robles to ensure that his performance established the true physicality and resoluteness required for the role.

In addition to working with Jerome, Robles also perfromed some of the complex wrestling sequences and stunts. He is credited as both “Anthony Robles Double” and as a producer in the film.

Jerome is also joined by a star-studded cast. He shares the screen with Lopez, who plays Robles’ mother Judy, Don Cheadle, Bobby Cannavale, and Michael Peña.
